Mike’s Bio:
Mike Widmaier has over 20+ years in the fine and rare wine industry. With a start in fine wine retail, Mike also worked in fine wine distribution sales, and for several wine auction houses. Mike’s specialty is Private Wine Cellar Management, Wine Appraisals, and Wine Cellar Evaluations. With continued wine education, Mike is a W.S.E.T. Level II Certified (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) and a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommelier. Mike is currently seeking to become a Certified Personal Property Appraiser with a specialty in Wine. While pursuing to be a leader in the wine field, Mike puts the needs of his clients first. Honest, Trustworthy, and Reliable are just a few characteristics that describe Mike. He worked hard to develop the concept of Chicago Wine Consulting and eventually turned some side work that he was doing for a few high profile clients into a trusted Wine Consulting Firm.
Paula’s Bio:
Paula Widmaier started her career in 1999 as a Wine Sales Consultant for a large wholesale distribution house in Chicago. For the next 8 years she represented a large portfolio of Luxury Blue Chip wineries, selling to fine dining Restaurants and upscale Retail Stores throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs. For the last 12 years, Paula has worked exclusively for a handful of top wineries in California as a supplier for the Midwest Region. Having represented such a large and diverse collection of wineries throughout her career, Paula brings a wealth of wine knowledge from France, Spain, Italy and California. Paula is passionate about wine and customer service. She will always go above and beyond to exceed the expectations of her clients at Chicago Wine Consulting.
